Charles MacLean is one of the world’s most respected voices in Scotch whisky, having written extensively on the subject for over four decades. Author of 17 books, he was named “Scotland’s leading whisky expert” by The Times and has received numerous honors, including the I.W.S.C. Outstanding Achievement Award, induction into the Whisky Hall of Fame, and the title of International Ambassador of the Year at the Spirit of Speyside Festival.

A Master of the Quaich and long-time Advisory Board Member of the Council of Whiskey Masters, Charles continues to shape whisky scholarship and culture from his home in Edinburgh, Scotland.
