Samuel Wright is a certified Master of Whiskey and Master of Scotch, and was among the first to graduate from the Council of Whiskey Masters in 2022. Based in Austin, Texas, he is a freelance writer covering global whisky producers and exclusive releases, often with on-site reporting and insider perspective.

In addition to his writing, Samuel is actively involved in mentoring candidates through the Council’s certification programs, supporting the next generation of whisky professionals. He is currently co-authoring a whiskey book and preparing to launch a podcast later this year.
