John Wabeck is a Master of Scotch, Advanced Sommelier, and wine director at Del Frisco’s Double Eagle Steakhouse in Pennsylvania, with nearly 40 years in fine dining. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, John brings a chef’s palate and precision to his work in wine and spirits, combining deep culinary knowledge with a refined sense of balance and structure.
He is a Master Sommelier candidate with the Court of Master Sommeliers, an Honorary Ambassador for Tanqueray, and a recipient of the Food & Wine Top Sommelier honor. John holds additional certifications from the Edinburgh Whisky Academy and continues to educate and inspire through mentorship and service.
Outside of his professional pursuits, John enjoys life in the company of his two dogs, Pippa and Dutch, who keep things grounded and joyful.
